課程概述 |
Practical teaching experience in actual laboratory/classroom situations to enhance students’ supervising capability and good quality as would-be teachers/leaders in their professional careers |

課程目標 |
This course provides the student exposures to actual laboratory/classroom situations that would develop his/her teaching knowledge/instructional skills needed for his professional career later. The primary aim of this course is to produce effective chemistry supervisors/teachers with a strong sense of professionality and responsibility. Each student will be provided with a supervisor/instructor, from whom he/she may learn teaching methodology and skills. Both the student and the supervisor/instructor are encouraged to interact with the professor (C.-C. Chang, Room A319) concerning his/her progress in the course. There may be different teaching practice assignments for each student taking the course, with emphasis on the overall quality of department teaching and individual students’ learning and development. The student is expected to fulfill satisfactorily in terms of the quality and concerted effort of the assigned practice and of completion on time. The assignments/practices may include, for example, conducting remedial instructions, providing ancillary teachings, and/or rendering student services. They provide the student in this practicum a teaching experience that parallels his/her own learning as a student to help the student to grow as a multi-dimensional chemist. By strenuously practicing as a teacher and actively consulting with veteran teachers, the sincere student in the course will also gain good knowledge about learning deficiency/disorder of his/her own or others, and develop a repertoire of strategies and skills to combat them. The students’ potential as a teacher will thus be unleashed in this practicum to the highest extent possible. |
